Software Developer

As a software developer with Fraunhofer MEVIS in Lübeck, you will build solutions to challenging problems in the field of medical imaging. You will develop new software (Python and C++) and you will come in touch with various technologies ranging from medical image processing and visualization to web clients, cloud applications, and big data/deep learning. Your tasks will include the transformation of cutting edge research results into reliable and highly performant code for different platforms including Windows, macOS and Linux.

What we expect from you

  • proven experience in object-oriented software development with Python and C++
  • open mindedness for new applications, fascination for new developments and their realization
  • familiarity with self-driven project work and ability to work in teams
  • excellent Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent practical background
  • fluent English and German

In addition, the following traits would be advantageous:

  • knowledge in image processing, particularly medical imaging
  • software testing and quality management skills, especially for medicine

The working time consists of 39 hours per week.
The position is initially limited for 2 years.
Appointment, remuneration and social security benefits base on the public-sector collective wage agreement (TVöD). Additionally, Fraunhofer may grant performance-based variable remuneration components.
