The Fraunhofer Center for Applied Nanotechnology CAN in Hamburg focus on developing nanoparticle (NP) systems that can be apply for a wide range of application in life science (diagnostic tools, drug delivery, biomarkers) among others.

You study natural science, (both physical and life science), such us chemistry, physics, Nanoscience, material science biology, engineers, etc. Interest to work in an international and interdisciplinary research team to develop NPs for cell sensing and other related biomedical applications and study their interactions in cells.

bioconjugated NPs fr biosensing approaches that will provide inside on the future for personalized medicine?
- Would you like your work towards the development of sensitive biomedical kits using bioconjugated NPs which have great therapeutic impact?
- Would you like to work on the design of NPs as drug delivery systems as candidates across many disease areas?
- Would you like to study the interaction of NPs with cells using in vitro cell culture systems?
As a member of our department (Nanomedical Applications), you will be a part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary and research environment team, working closely with our group members of different disciplines biologists, physics, chemist, medicinal chemists and medical science with excellent equipment to conduct the synthesis and characterization of NPs, including microscopy facility, etc. as well in vitro cell system laboratory to study the interaction of the NPs with cells (invitro cell culture). We will ensure an interesting master thesis topic!
