RESEARCH ASSOCIATE*/ FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPER* AI TOOL SUITE »CARME«

The "Competence Center High Performance Computing CC-HPC" very successfully occupies the interface between High Performance Computing and Machine Learning. We develop scalable machine learning solutions in close cooperation with hardware manufacturers, large-scale computing centers and industrial users. With our open-source software stack Carme, we have been working with great success on solving Artificial Intelligence problems by using High Performance Computing systems since 2018.

What we expect from you

  • A completed scientific university degree in Computer Science or comparable education. Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in the field of full stack web development. If you have very good previous knowledge, we also offer you the possibility of further training accordingly.
  • Very good knowledge of frontend languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript), libraries (e.g. React.js, Sass) and concepts (e.g. Browser<>Server, WebRTC, Frameworks, Single-Site-Apps, Caching, Bundling) is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of backend languages (e.g. Python), libraries (e.g. Django) and concepts (e.g. RPC, server<>client, scalability)
  • Experience in artificial intelligence, high performance computing, and working with Linux systems is helpful.

What you can expect from us

You will complement our team in the development of our multi-user software stack Carme, with the goal of enabling the solving of Artificial Intelligence problems using compute clusters efficiently and without required HPC skills. Committed colleagues* will have the opportunity to participate in the creation of a spin-off.

The weekly working time is 39 hours.
